Erin Molan, a journalist and former anchor at Sky News Australia, has been living a harsh reality since voicing her support for Israel following the October 7 massacre. In a special interview with The Jerusalem Post<\/em>, Molan\u2014who was fired for her pro-Israel stance\u2014spoke about the threats she has received and her decision to stand by her principles, no matter the personal cost.<\/p>\n

\u201cI stood my ground\u2014and gained my freedom\u201d<\/strong>
\nErin Molan, a respected journalist in Australia, lost her job at Sky News after she spoke out in support of Israel following the October 7 terror attack. Despite the dismissal and subsequent threats, she has no regrets.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is not a single part of me that regrets it,\u201d she said. \u201cThe fact I stood firm gave me freedom, a sense of worth, and an understanding that I\u2019m fighting a values-based fight\u2014for truth, for freedom, for peace.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I lost, I lost because I condemned terrorism. Because I expressed support for a country that launched a necessary war\u2014one to defend its people,\u201d she explained. \u201cI would do it again without hesitation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe joy on the terrorists\u2019 faces shocked me\u201d
\n<\/strong>Molan recalled the night she first learned what had happened on October 7.
\n\u201cI woke up in the middle of the night, picked up my phone, and was horrified by what I saw,\u201d she said. What shook her the most, she added, was \u201cthe joy I saw on the terrorists\u2019 faces.\u201d<\/p>\n

The emotional shock was compounded by personal grief: Molan\u2019s father, Major General Jim Molan, had died ten months earlier. He had served in the Australian military and in the Australian Senate, and was known as a staunch supporter of Israel and a fierce opponent of terrorist organizations like al-Qaeda and ISIS.
\n\u201cIt was the first time since he died that I reached for my phone and wanted to call him,\u201d she recalled. \u201cI knew what evil looked like\u2014but that joy stunned me.\u201d
\nShe added that her father always emphasized how Israel does everything it can to minimize harm to civilians in its wars. \u201cMy father was a great ally of Israel,\u201d said Molan.<\/p>\n

\u201cHamas is responsible for every child killed in Gaza\u201d
\n<\/strong>Molan didn\u2019t hesitate to name who she sees as responsible for the suffering.
\n\u201cMy fight is for every baby in Gaza, just as it is for every baby in Israel,\u201d she said. \u201cAs long as Hamas is there, every child born in Gaza is born with a death sentence. Hamas is responsible for every child killed in Gaza.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to her, Israel had no choice but to act.
\n\u201cThis is not a war of revenge. Israel failed to protect itself on October 7, 2023. It cannot afford to fail again.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I don\u2019t stand up to evil, what kind of world will my daughter grow up in?\u201d
\n<\/strong>Molan has paid a heavy personal price. She shared that threats were made against her and her daughter.
\n\u201cI had to move my daughter to her father\u2019s home and request police protection. Every time I get into the car, I check it. It\u2019s not easy\u2014but it\u2019s a choice I made. For my daughter.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said she refuses to be paralyzed by fear:
\n\u201cI\u2019m always a bit on edge, a little anxious. But if I don\u2019t stand up to evil, what kind of world will my daughter grow up in?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIsrael has become a second home\u201d
\n<\/strong>Since the October 7 massacre, Molan has visited Israel three times. She said Israel hadn\u2019t even been on her radar before.
\n\u201cNow I\u2019m here for the third time since October 7, and with every visit, my drive gets stronger.\u201d<\/p>\n

The support she receives in Israel, she says, gives her strength to keep going.
\n\u201cWhat I\u2019ve lost, the threats I\u2019ve faced\u2014they were completely worth what I\u2019ve done, and what I continue to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to live knowing I\u2019m doing the right thing\u201d
\n<\/strong>Molan concluded the interview with a statement of deep personal commitment:
\n\u201cI want to live with myself knowing I\u2019m doing the right thing. It\u2019s hard\u2014but necessary. When I worked in television news, I felt trapped. I was constantly trying to balance opposing viewpoints, and it was exhausting. The greatest gift I\u2019ve received from everything that\u2019s happened is the freedom to say what I believe, to defend my values, and to fight for them.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added that even after losing everything, she discovered her inner strength:
