Following several hours of pursuit, the terrorist who carried out the shooting attack yesterday at the Reihan Crossing was arrested this morning (Thursday), the IDF Spokesperson confirmed.<\/p>\n

The shooting occurred when a terrorist opened fire from a passing vehicle at an IDF unit operating near the security fence during a mission in the area. Forces from the IDF, the Shin Bet, and the Israel Police’s Gideonim unit launched a manhunt, and overnight located and arrested the terrorist in the village of Bartaa.<\/p>\n

During the operation, precise intelligence provided by the Shin Bet led the forces to surround the suspect\u2019s home\u2014until he eventually turned himself in.<\/p>\n

Two Reservists Critically Wounded, Airlifted to Hospital<\/strong>
\nTwo IDF reservists were critically wounded in the shooting at Reihan Crossing in Samaria\u2014one from Rescue and Recovery Battalion 5703 and the other from Ordnance Battalion 703. The IDF reported that both soldiers were evacuated by helicopter to the hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment. Their families have been notified.<\/p>\n

As noted, the IDF launched an extensive manhunt in the area following the attack, which ultimately led to the terrorist\u2019s arrest. Footage released from the scene shows soldiers conducting searches in the area.<\/p>\n

Ramming Attack at Sheep Junction\u2014Terrorist Neutralized<\/strong>
\nAt the same time as the Reihan attack, another terror incident took place at Sheep Junction in the southern Hebron Hills. A terrorist attempted to ram into an IDF force, then exited his vehicle and tried to stab a soldier.<\/p>\n

The force at the scene responded with gunfire and neutralized the terrorist. One soldier was lightly wounded and was taken for medical treatment.<\/p>\n
