However, due to its high media visibility, there is a risk that hostile countries and terrorist organizations may exploit the event to carry out threats or violent protests. In light of these concerns, Israel\u2019s National Security Council (NSC) issued updated guidance today (Thursday) for Israelis staying in Switzerland during the contest.<\/p>\n<p>The NSC urged heightened caution, warning that actors such as Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, and global jihadist groups may seek to target participants.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Protests in Switzerland<\/strong><br \/>\nSince the start of the \u201cOperation Swords of Iron\u201d war, there has been a surge in global terror threats, and dozens of plots against Israelis abroad have been foiled. Over the past year, Switzerland has seen around 360 anti-Israel protests, some of which turned violent.
