Lerer received the honor for a series of innovative and trailblazing social initiatives\u2014many of them beyond the television screen\u2014that have turned <em>HaTzinor<\/em> into more than a TV show: a powerful platform for social change in Israel.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Raised nearly 20 million shekels for the Gaza envelope<br \/>\n<\/strong>The award recognized Lerer\u2019s activity over the past decade, with special emphasis on the projects he initiated since the start of the October 7 war. The award was presented by Gilad Adin, former CEO of Channel 10 News and the person who first introduced Lerer to television.
