{"id":21775,"date":"2025-05-04T18:00:53","date_gmt":"2025-05-04T15:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reganews.co.il\/en\/?p=21775"},"modified":"2025-05-04T19:22:53","modified_gmt":"2025-05-04T16:22:53","slug":"sealing-the-partnership-with-a-mezuzah-made-of-history","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reganews.co.il\/en\/sealing-the-partnership-with-a-mezuzah-made-of-history\/","title":{"rendered":"Sealing the Partnership with a Mezuzah Made of History"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A meaningful event took place today (Sunday) at the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem: newly appointed U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee met in his office with Yossi Dagan, Head of the Samaria Regional Council \u2014 marking the first such meeting in the Ambassador\u2019s office with a regional Israeli official.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the meeting, the two affixed a unique mezuzah at the entrance to the Ambassador\u2019s office, made from stones taken from Mount Ebal in the Samaria region.<\/p>\n<p>The mezuzah, created by Israeli artist Assaf Kidron from the community of Itamar, was presented to the Ambassador by Dagan. We \u2014 the citizens of Samaria, the people of Israel, and Jews around the world \u2014 appreciate you. I want to thank you for your heart, your partnership, and everything you are doing for Israel and for the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ambassador Huckabee also expressed his appreciation, saying:<br \/>\n\u201cThank you to my friend Yossi Dagan. It is an honor to receive such a beautiful gift from Samaria. It will serve as a reminder, every time I enter my office, that there are people praying for the peace of Jerusalem.
