As Israel faces a multi-front military reality, the Security Cabinet is expected to approve a broad reserve mobilization on Sunday, involving tens of thousands of reservists, with the potential for expansion into the hundreds of thousands, according to IDF officials. IDF reserve units have already received advanced notice, and the move is being coordinated under Emergency Order 8 (“Tzav 8”), the legal framework for mass call-ups during wartime.<\/p>\n

Strategic Redeployment: Freeing Up Elite Units for Gaza<\/strong>
\nThe mobilization is aimed at reinforcing Israel\u2019s northern and Judea and Samaria fronts, thereby freeing up elite standing forces\u2014including the Golani and Givati brigades, as well as Armored Divisions 188 and 401\u2014to continue pushing deeper into Hamas strongholds in Gaza.<\/p>\n
