Two weeks ahead of the annual Lag BaOmer pilgrimage to Meron, a new 24-hour public information hotline was officially launched Friday to help manage the large influx of visitors expected to participate in the celebration honoring Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai (Rashbi).<\/p>\n

Multilingual Service for Public Access<\/strong>
\nThe hotline, operated by the National Information and Spokesperson Division, offers service in both Hebrew and Yiddish and is intended to support the hundreds of thousands of attendees expected to arrive at the sacred Galilee site.<\/p>\n

Callers to the center (+972-3-566-1111) will be able to access updated details on public and private transportation routes, scheduled lighting ceremonies, and logistical information about conditions on the ground. The system will also feature briefings from key personnel overseeing the event.<\/p>\n

\nReliable, Accurate Information for the Public<\/strong>
\nThe initiative, led by Minister of Jerusalem and Jewish Tradition Meir Porush, is a joint effort with event director Yossi Deitsch and Meron deputy director Chaim Rosenstein. Officials emphasized the importance of smooth coordination this year, especially as Lag BaOmer falls near the Sabbath, leading to a compressed timeframe for the pilgrimage. \u201cThis year, we are putting special emphasis on delivering accurate and timely information to the public,\u201d said the ministry\u2019s communications team. \u201cThe hotline will operate around the clock to ensure everyone reaches the site safely and can celebrate in a secure and spiritual environment.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
