{"id":20748,"date":"2025-04-24T23:00:16","date_gmt":"2025-04-24T20:00:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reganews.co.il\/en\/?p=20748"},"modified":"2025-04-24T23:44:06","modified_gmt":"2025-04-24T20:44:06","slug":"unity-and-remembrance-in-the-shadow-of-swords-of-iron","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reganews.co.il\/en\/unity-and-remembrance-in-the-shadow-of-swords-of-iron\/","title":{"rendered":"Unity and Remembrance in the Shadow of Swords of Iron"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of Holocaust Remembrance Day events, a delegation of National-Civic Service volunteers traveled earlier this week to take part in the international March of the Living at Auschwitz.<\/p>\n<p><strong>An Israeli Mosaic Walks Together<\/strong><br \/>\nIn the midst of the Swords of Iron War and the ongoing challenges following the October 7 attacks, the National-Civic Service delegation carried a message of remembrance, unity, and civic responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>The group was made up of volunteers representing the full spectrum of Israeli society: Jews, Muslims, Druze, and Christians; religious, ultra-Orthodox, and secular; young men and women from both central and peripheral areas of the country, as well as volunteers with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Watch the delegation sing &#8220;Am Yisrael Chai&#8221; in Auschwitz:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"\u05e9\u05d9\u05e8\u05ea &quot;\u05e2\u05dd \u05d9\u05e9\u05e8\u05d0\u05dc \u05d7\u05d9&quot; \u05d1\u05d0\u05d5\u05e9\u05d5\u05d5\u05d9\u05e5\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/K83xLjx1kY8?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1&#038;origin=https:\/\/reganews.co.il\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Third-Generation Holocaust Descendants<\/strong><br \/>\nReuven Pinsky, Director-General of the National-Civic Service Authority and a third-generation descendant of Holocaust survivors, described the march as a deeply personal and familial closing of a circle. Speaking to RegaNEWS, Pinsky said, \u201cEspecially on Holocaust Remembrance Day, and in the shadow of war, this delegation reflects the resilience, solidarity, and spirit of volunteerism that characterize Israeli society.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cThe participants traveled to remember\u2014and to draw strength for building a future firmly rooted in the past. His words carried special weight at a time when other hostages are still in captivity.
