The traditional March of the Living set out today (Thursday) from Auschwitz to Birkenau. This year, 8,000 people are expected to participate, including Holocaust survivors, survivors of the October 7 massacre, former hostages with their families, and bereaved families.<\/p>\n
Lali Deri, mother of the fallen Staff Sergeant Saadia Yaakov Deri, addressed the National-Civil Service volunteers taking part in the march:
