GAZA STRIP \u2014 <\/strong>In a major overnight operation carried out between Monday and Tuesday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), in coordination with the Shin Bet security service, launched a precision strike against Hamas engineering infrastructure, destroying approximately 40 heavy-duty vehicles used to carry out and support terror activity.<\/p>\n

The IDF described the strike as “accurate and targeted”, aimed specifically at key logistical equipment used by Hamas during the October 7 massacre and in subsequent battles.<\/p>\n

Machines Built for Terror<\/strong>
\nThe targeted engineering equipment included bulldozers, excavators, and transport vehicles used to breach border fences, excavate terror tunnels, plant improvised explosive devices (IEDs), clear debris to uncover hidden weapons, and transport militants and gear across the border.

IDF: Operational Capability Severely Degraded<\/strong>
\nIsraeli military officials emphasized that the destruction of this fleet of engineering tools significantly degrades Hamas\u2019s ability to carry out future large-scale terror operations.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese machines were integral to the enemy\u2019s operational capabilities,\u201d the IDF said in a statement. \u201cTheir elimination is a critical step toward preventing future attacks and protecting Israeli civilians.\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement also noted that the IDF and Shin Bet would continue to carry out targeted strikes to dismantle Hamas’s infrastructure and eliminate any emerging threats from the Gaza Strip.<\/p>\n
