\nIsrael’s security establishment has been working for weeks to increase the response time for missile attacks originating from Yemen. \u201cFrom now on,\u201d announced the Home Front Command yesterday, \u201cthe Home Front Command app will issue an advance notice of incoming missile fire from Yemen toward Israeli territory\u20143 to 5 minutes before the formal siren is triggered.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe advance notice will appear in the Home Front Command app as a notification sound only (not a full siren), accompanied by an on-screen message such as: \u201cAlerts are expected in your area in the coming minutes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
\nThe advance alert does not require immediate sheltering. Its purpose is to give civilians more time and situational awareness to prepare calmly and effectively.<\/p>\n
