After a year and a half of quiet following the Iron Swords War, Kfar Blum Kayaks\u2014one of Israel\u2019s most iconic outdoor attractions in the Upper Galilee\u2014is reopening its gates on Sunday, April 13, 2025, during Chol HaMoed Passover.<\/p>\n

For many Israelis and returning visitors from abroad, the reopening is a sign of resilience\u2014and great timing for families looking to reconnect with the land, nature, and a bit of fun during the holiday week.<\/p>\n

A Joyful Return to Routine<\/strong>
\n\u201cThe launch of the 2025 kayaking season at Kfar Blum is symbolic of life returning to the north\u2014a return to daily activity, despite the challenges,\u201d said Guy Yarmak, CEO of Kfar Blum Kayaks. \u201cAfter a year and a half of conflict and security instability in the region and across Israel, we are proud and excited to welcome visitors back.\u201d<\/p>\n

A Scenic Ride Down the Jordan<\/strong>
\nFinal touches are now underway as the site prepares to open for the holiday. The family-friendly kayak route\u2014approximately 4 kilometers (about 2.5 miles)\u2014has been fully restored. The route begins in Kibbutz Beit Hillel and winds down the Jordan River to a small waterfall known locally as HaMaplon (little waterfall). It’s a peaceful, memorable way to take in the beauty of Israel\u2019s north.<\/p>\n

Many Israeli families are expected to visit during the holiday, and American Jewish tourists looking for authentic, off-the-beaten-path experiences will find it to be a great way to enjoy Chol HaMoed outdoors\u2014with meaningful Israeli flavor.<\/p>\n

Staffing Challenges, River Ready<\/strong>
