Two sides of a bridge
\n<\/strong>The mirrored sevens are designed to resemble two sides of a bridge, symbolizing a desire to connect all segments of Israeli society. Rays of light shine from the center, adding a sense of optimism and a shared future. The theme of this year\u2019s ceremony is \u201cBridges of Hope.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>The Government Press Office stated: \u201cThe design emphasizes hope and the longing for unity, even in painful times. It visually reflects the \u2018hope of two thousand years\u2019 that has carried us since the founding of the state.\u201d<\/p>\n

Minister of Transport and Road Safety Miri Regev, who is overseeing the ceremony for the ninth year, commented on the logo\u2019s unveiling: \u201cBeyond its design, this is a clear message. Especially in times of pain, we must remember what brings us together. The longing for the hostages\u2019 return unites us all.\u201d<\/p>\n

The official torch-lighting ceremony will take place as scheduled on the eve of Independence Day, April 30, on Mount Herzl. It will be broadcast live on all major Israeli TV channels and hosted by Natali Shem Tov (News 13) and Lital Shemesh (Channel 14).
