Looking for meaningful, low-cost experiences during your Passover visit to Israel? Family-friendly tours of historical and cultural sites throughout the Galilee will be offered during Chol HaMoed<\/em> (the intermediate days of the holiday) for just 10 shekels\u2014less than $3\u2014per person.<\/p>\n

The initiative is led by Israel\u2019s Ministry for the Negev, Galilee, and National Resilience, in cooperation with the Galilee Development Authority and the Authority for Jewish National Identity.<\/p>\n

Choose from three guided routes<\/strong>
\nVisitors can select from three curated tours, each highlighting a different aspect of Israel\u2019s heritage and landscape:<\/p>\n

The first route includes a tour of ancient Peki\u2019in, where participants will learn about the sages of the Mishnah and Talmud who once lived there.<\/p>\n

The second route follows the story of the “lost convoy” from Israel\u2019s War of Independence, with visits to the Yechi\u2019am Convoy Memorial and the historic Old City of Acre (Akko).<\/p>\n

The third route offers a scenic visit to either Mitzpe HaShalom or Mitzpe Ofir\u2014two breathtaking observation points in the Golan Heights\u2014followed by a guided tour of the reconstructed Talmudic village in Katzrin.<\/p>\n

All three tours will run on Monday and Tuesday, April 7\u20138 (Nisan 9\u201310), during Chol HaMoed<\/em>.<\/p>\n

New this year: Guided tours into previously closed Syrian border area<\/strong>
\nIn a first-of-its-kind experience, the IDF has approved special guided hikes to Nahal Ruqqad, a striking stream located just across the Israeli-Syrian border. The area was closed to Israeli civilians until recently, and this Passover marks the first time it’s being opened for public access.<\/p>\n

The tours are being offered thanks to Operation \u201cArrows of the Bashan,\u201d a recent IDF initiative in the region. They are organized by Midreshet HaGolan and Keshet Yonatan, in coordination with the IDF Northern Command and Division 210.<\/p>\n

Participants will explore the scenic border triangle where the Yarmouk River meets Nahal Ruqqad\u2014an area rich in natural beauty and strategic history.
