The grants, originally scheduled for May, will now be disbursed early to around 200,000 reservists who have served in recent months. The announcement came in a joint statement from Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Defense Minister Israel Katz.<\/p>\n

Additional legislative reforms<\/strong>
\nAlongside the early grant payment, the Knesset has approved a new amendment to Israel\u2019s National Insurance Law. The change, passed in its second and third readings in recent weeks, is designed to prevent independent reservists from accumulating debt due to income discrepancies between their regular work and reserve service.<\/p>\n

Under the new law, compensation payments will better reflect actual losses in income during reserve duty. The amendment took effect immediately and is expected to significantly ease the financial burden on thousands of self-employed reservists.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
