Against the backdrop of global challenges and the events of the past year, the Israeli government is launching Diaspora Week 2025<\/em>\u2014an annual initiative that celebrates and strengthens the connection between the State of Israel and Jewish communities around the world. The October 7 massacre and the ongoing war have inspired an unprecedented wave of solidarity and support from Jewish communities across the globe. This year, the week is devoted to deepening unity, appreciation, and mutual commitment.<\/p>\n

State-level events across the Government, Knesset, and President\u2019s Residence<\/strong>
\nThroughout the week, a special government meeting will be held, alongside dedicated sessions in Knesset committees. The President\u2019s Residence will host a formal ceremony to present the annual Diaspora Index Report. In addition, Jerusalem will hold an international conference on combating antisemitism, with the participation of prominent leaders from Israel and the Diaspora.<\/p>\n

Educational initiatives in classrooms, pre-army programs, and through emissaries<\/strong>
\nIsrael\u2019s education system will feature a range of special programming, including lessons and meetings between Israeli students and Jewish Agency emissaries or alumni of Masa programs. Students specializing in film will explore Jewish cinema in the Diaspora, and Israeli and international female students will take part in a joint seminar at Bar-Ilan University.<\/p>\n

Community events centered on identity, memory, and personal stories<\/strong>
