During the concluding exercise, which lasted three days, the fighters practiced medical evacuations, reconnaissance, dry and wet firing, capturing two positions at the mountain peaks, and sleeping in Alpine Unit is a special unit in the IDF that specializes in combat, rescue, and recovery under harsh terrain conditions, particularly in mountainous and snowy areas. The unit primarily operates in northern Israel, around Mount Hermon, where it is responsible for border security and operational responses in extreme conditions. Unit fighters undergo unique training that includes complex navigation, snow and ice warfare, avalanche rescue, and operational activity at high altitudes.
