During a fundraising campaign to strengthen the Avinoam Yeshiva in the community of Evyatar and commemorate three of its students who fell in the Iron Swords War, half a million shekels were donated by Friends of Samaria in the United States. The campaign aims to honor the memory of Maoz Morel, Ori Nisanovitz, and Gilad Nitzan z\u201dl by expanding Torah study and reinforcing the yeshiva\u2019s role in the region.<\/p>\n

The campaign\u2019s target is 2.5 million shekels, with funds allocated to further developing the yeshiva and establishing it as a strong and influential Torah center in the heart of Samaria. Established in 2018 (Hebrew year 5778), the yeshiva operates under the Alon Moreh institutions and has become a spiritual cornerstone in Evyatar.<\/p>\n

A Winning Formula for Strengthening Judea and Samaria
\n<\/strong>Eliasaf Parshan, head of Elon Moreh community, emphasized: “We have seen that a leading educational institution is a winning formula for developing and solidifying communities in Judea and Samaria, especially in places where the settlement challenge is greater. Our collaboration with the leadership of Samaria has led to a true breakthrough in settlement expansion.”<\/p>\n

Students at the Forefront of the Settlement Struggle<\/strong>
\nThe yeshiva\u2019s students have played a key role in the struggle for settlement in Evyatar, regularly ascending to the site to strengthen Torah learning and establish a Jewish presence. Today, the yeshiva includes dozens of families, 120 yeshiva students, 40 married scholars (avreichim<\/em>), and 50 students who combine Torah study with military service.<\/p>\n

Honoring the Fallen by Strengthening the Yeshiva
\n<\/strong>During the<\/span> Iron Swords War<\/span>, the yeshiva suffered the devastating loss of <\/span>three of its students<\/span>. Efforts to <\/span>preserve their memory<\/span> focus on expanding the institution and enhancing Torah study. This significant donation will help ensure their legacy <\/span>lives on through Torah learning and Jewish presence in Evyatar<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
