\nAsor enlisted in the 12th Brigade of the Golani Infantry Brigade in 1990 and served in a variety of significant roles in the IDF. Among others, Asor served as Deputy Commander of the first breach battalion (51) in the Golani Brigade during Operation Defensive Shield<\/em>, as Commander of the first breach battalion (51) during the Second Lebanon War, where the battalion under his command received a commendation from the Northern Command, as Commander of the Egoz <\/em>Unit, as Commander of the Hiram <\/em>Formation, as Deputy Commander of the Gaash <\/em>Formation, as Commander of the Golani Brigade, and as Commander of the Bashan <\/em>Formation, as well as Head of the Operations Division and Head of Human Resources. The officer will begin his role next week.<\/p>\n

\nCohen enlisted in the Givati Brigade in 1995 and also served in a range of important and fascinating roles in the army. Among other roles, Cohen served as Commander of the Tzabar<\/em> Battalion (432) in the Givati Brigade, Head of Urban Warfare Branch at Ground Forces Command, Commander of the Training and Instruction Base in the Givati Brigade, Commander of the Yoav Regional Brigade, Commander of the Judah <\/em>Regional Brigade, Commander of the Givati Brigade, Commander of the Red F<\/em>ormation (80), and Commander of the Steel<\/em> Formation (162). The officer will be promoted to the rank of Major General and will begin his role in the coming months.<\/p>\n
\nThe IDF has approved for publication the appointments of additional commanders, the promotion of which was determined during a discussion held yesterday, chaired by Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and approved by the Defense Minister.
