Moments of pride and excitement accompanied the beret ceremony of soldiers from the August 2024 cohort in the Netzach Yehuda <\/em>Haredi Battalion and the Tomer<\/em> Haredi Company of the Givati<\/em> Brigade. After weeks of intense training, the soldiers stood alongside their families, commanders, and excited friends to receive the berets that symbolize their full integration into the ranks of fighters.<\/p>\n

The Netzach Yehuda<\/em> Battalion soldiers completed the challenging journey, standing side by side at the Kfir Brigade<\/em> memorial in Afula, where they received the coveted berets. Simultaneously, the Tomer <\/em>Company held their beret ceremony at Eshkol Park, where they were awarded the purple beret of Givati<\/em>. <\/p>\n

A Bridge Between Haredi Values and IDF Service<\/strong>
\nThe Netzach Yehuda <\/em>Battalion, also known as Nahal Haredi<\/em>, was established in 1999 to integrate young Haredi individuals into combat service while maintaining a religious lifestyle. The battalion offers its soldiers a unique framework that includes conditions tailored to their way of life, close spiritual guidance, and social support. The Netzach Yehuda<\/em> organization, which has supported the battalion since its inception, provides spiritual and social assistance to soldiers throughout their service and after their release, with an emphasis on successful integration into civilian life.<\/p>\n

Allowing Haredi Soldiers to Combine Meaningful Combat Service While Preserving Their Religious Identity<\/strong>
\nThe Tomer<\/em> Haredi Company in the Givati Brigade<\/em> was established with a similar goal, to enable Haredi soldiers to integrate meaningful combat service while maintaining their religious identity. The soldiers of the company underwent intensive training and, now, after receiving the Givati<\/em> purple beret, they continue on their path as regular fighters.<\/p>\n

Rabbi Shaul Abdi’el, one of the rabbis of the Netzach Yehuda <\/em>organization, blessed the new soldiers and said: “The soldiers of the August 24 cohort joined today a long line of Haredi youth who have taken on the mission of safeguarding the people of Israel out of commitment to the values of the Torah and the State. The journey they have gone through is not only physical but also ethical and spiritual. They serve as a living example that one can combine Torah with meaningful service in the IDF. We at the Netzach Yehuda<\/em> organization will continue to accompany them and assist them along the way.”<\/p>\n

This is a Moment I Will Never Forget<\/strong>
\nAmong the excited voices at the ceremony, one father, whose son completed the beret journey in Netzach Yehuda,<\/em> shared his feelings: “This is a moment I will never forget. To see my son standing here today as a soldier in the IDF \u2013 it is an indescribable pride. I know he is protecting the people of Israel with his body, while simultaneously upholding the Torah and commandments. The path was not easy, but thanks to the support of the commanders and the Netzach Yehuda <\/em>organization, he arrived here strong and full of purpose.”<\/p>\n

Now, after completing the initial training course, the soldiers will continue to advanced training in preparation for their placement in operational sectors, where they will integrate into ongoing security missions alongside various IDF forces. The operational integration of Haredi soldiers into the IDF continues to serve as an important bridge between the world of Torah and the military world, contributing to the strengthening of Israel’s national security.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
