These individuals had been on the run for an extended period and were suspected of planning terror attacks against civilians and security forces.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key target: Senior Hamas Operative Ala al-Din Bitawi<br \/>\n<\/strong>As part of a joint operation involving fighters from the Israel Security Agency (the Shin Bet), the Yamam, Israel&#8217;s elite national counter-terrorism unit, and IDF soldiers, security forces managed to capture Alaa al-Din Bitawi, a senior Hamas leader in the Jenin refugee camp.
