In collaboration with the Air Force, and through MAFAT (Directorate of Defense Research and Development) and the Procurement Administration (MANHAR), The Ministry of Defense has launched a project for the development and initial installation of an advanced defense suite for the F-16I fighter jets, with a budget of approximately $80 million.<\/p>\n
Led by Elbit Systems, the jets will be equipped with innovative technologies designed to ensure maximum protection in complex combat scenarios and the survivability of the F-16I aircraft, enabling safe operation in hostile environments. <\/p>\n

\nThe Ministry of Defense stated this morning (Monday) that the initiative is part of a number of strategic deals promoted by the ministry, powerfully leveraging Israel\u2019s technology ecosystem across multiple domains. The objective is “to strengthen the independence of Israeli defense industries and reduce reliance on external factors.
