The pain of losing such a hero is beyond words.”<\/p>\n Captain Yair Yaakov Shoshan: A Towering Figure, the Pride of the Nation<\/strong><\/p>\n At his high school, the ORT yeshiva in Maalot, the staff expressed their sorrow: “We are devastated by the loss of our dear alumnus, Yair Shoshan, who was the salt of the earth. Our thoughts are with his family during this unimaginable time.”<\/p>\n Aviel Weissman: Embracing the Grieving Family<\/strong><\/p>\n The Upper Poria municipality shared: “Aviel was a valued member of our community. His family is in our hearts during this time of sorrow. May you be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.”<\/p>\n Guy Carmiel: Offering Warm Embrace and Support<\/strong><\/p>\n Gedera\u2019s local council mourned his loss: “With great sorrow and broken hearts, we received the devastating news of the passing of Israel’s hero, Staff Sergeant Guy Carmiel. We embrace his grieving family and promise to stand by their side, offering a warm embrace and unwavering support in any way needed.<\/p>\n In this painful time, on behalf of the residents of Gedera, the council head, its members, and all staff, we extend our deepest condolences and sincere love to Guy\u2019s family \u2013 his parents, Meirav and Oren; his sisters, Adi and Hila; his grandfather, Udi; and his grandmothers, Riva and Fruma.<\/p>\n Guy, a heroic fighter in the Nahal Brigade\u2019s elite reconnaissance unit, was an active member of the Maccabi Tzair youth movement and a proud graduate of the Darca Ramon high school in Gedera.
