There are many in Israel who feel that providing humanitarian aid to Gaza is the wrong policy during the war. This is because Hamas generally steals the humanitarian aid to use the goods to maintain their power, feed their fighters, and sell at exorbitant prices to the Gazans as an income source. Many also feel that refusing humanitarian aid would lead to a much faster end to the war including returning the hostages instead of prolonging it which is not good for anyone. <\/p>\n
Furthermore, based on information provided by hostages who have returned, the hostages are being starved. Therefore, many feel there is no moral reason to provide food until the hostages are released.<\/p>\n
Due to a lot of international pressure, including pressure from the Biden Administration, Israel has been providing sufficient humanitarian aid to Gaza throughout the war. <\/p>\n
In addition, the IDF acts in an unusually ethical way by announcing that it will be attacking terror sites in a particular area in advance so that civilians can move to safety. Of course, many terrorists will take advantage of this information to also leave the location. The IDF establishes and respects humanitarian areas even though Hamas will use these areas to hide their terror weapons and infrastructure.<\/p>\n
